Wow - what a crazy two days we’ve just had! YMS19 LDN was our biggest Youth Marketing Strategy event yet, with almost 2000 delegates, and over 150 speakers across 10 content stages. We’ve had lots of fantastic feedback from attendees and partners of YMS, so we’re very excited to continue growing the festival globally in 2019, 2020 and beyond.
Here are 19 of our favourite moments from across the past two days:
🌈 Our diversity panel gave a passionate pitch as to why businesses need to stop just talking about inclusion, and actually get on with it!
🤳 Tailify’s Influencer Stream enabled our audience to quiz young social media influencers on what it takes to get your brand onto their coveted feed.
😋 Lunch was a highlight for the foodies at the festival with all kinds of exciting cuisines on offer at our food stalls - over half of which were vegan.
🌍 Global demonstrated how big brands can truly support and empower young people with the story of their Global Academy.
🇨🇳 Qumin brought China to East London, with an afternoon full of tips and insights into entering the exciting Chinese youth market.
👾 Our partners helped to make the exhibition area more fun and interactive than ever - an important part of why YMS is unique among marketing events.
📈 Our youth panel aired their views on sex, shopping and social media as they tackled the topics in our 2019 Youth Trends Report.
💬 We heard from the expert marketers behind brands such as ITV, River Island, Benefit, Monster Energy, Vice and more.
🥂Our networking drinks was the perfect time to celebrate another successful YMS and get to know our delegates over a glass (or 3) of wine!
🍕 Pizza Hut, Chelsea FC and Levi's shared their most valuable secret: How to stay relevant for Gen Z.
📸 Takumi's influencer panel gave us the chance to learn from Instagram star Alice Liveing how to engage young people on social.
💻 The digital content stream hosted by Marin was essential for anyone whose job involves SEO, paid social and more.
🤝 It was awesome as ever to see our delegates mingling and making connections that will inspire their marketing campaigns for the year ahead.
😂 The funniest speakers of the festival had to be Helen from Lovehoney and Jimmy of Iced Coffee fame. Definitely two audience favourites!
🛍 Our retail and ecommerce streams gave our audience the chance to hear from Instagram, Facebook, Nike, Champion and more.
❄️ We’re still dreaming of the delicious Pan ‘n’ Ice rolled ice cream provided by our partners Brightcove. A very popular YMS snack this year.
🤖 Microsoft's James Murray transported us into the future with his insights into their new AI voice recognition technology.
✋ Social Chain implored our audience of marketers to put a stop to BAU: boring and underwhelming content.
🎧 It was great to catch up with our Youth Trends podcast guests, including The Student Room, Youthsight and Slay In Your Lane.
